Cecilia Yuste

Director of Institutional Relations  at Grupo Santander and Head of Corporate Events since August 2018.

A career diplomat since 1988, she has served as Spain’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and, for five years, as Director General of the Diplomatic Information Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. She has also held diplomatic posts at theSpanish Embassies in the Philippines, Argentina, Russia, and spent six years at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union (REPER). She has lived abroad for nearly 17 years.

She served as Chiefof Staff, Press and Protocol to the President of the Constitutional Court (F. Tomás y Valiente), and throughout her career has worked on NATO/disarmament  issues, visas and immigration, coordinated the monitoring of the war in the former Yugoslavia/BadinterCommission, and held the position of Deputy Director General for Mercosur and Chile at theMinistry of Foreign Affairs.
