Alfredo Bonet

He holds a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. In 1984, he joined the State Corps of Commercial Technicians and Economists.

He has spent two-thirds of his long profesional career actively working in the field off foreign trade within the Ministries of Economy and Industry. He served for over ten consecutive years in senior positions (Director General for Promotion at ICEX, Secretary General for Foreign Trade, and SecretaryofStateforForeignTrade), and for eleven years he held thre international posts as Economic and CommercialCounselor in Miami, Milan, and at the Spanish Delegation to the OECD in Paris.

The remainder of his career has been in the private sector, during a voluntary leave of absence. In aninitial phase, he was Managing Director of the international consultancy Altair Asesores, and later served as International Director of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Secretary General of the Círculo de Empresarios.

He is currently an independent professional, an independent board member of Técnicas Reunidas, a member of the Advisory  Council of AMFRESH Group, an independent trustee of the CRE100DO Foundation, Vice President of the Executive Committee of Madrid Open City, and a member of the Círculo de Empresarios.
