Goals and methods

The Institute of International Issues and Foreign Policy (INCIPE) is a private non-profit cultural foundation, officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture through the Ministerial Order of June 20, 1988. Initially established as the Center for Policy Studies Foreign Affairs (CEPE), adopted its current name in 1991, after merging with the Institute of International Issues (INCI), founded in 1979 and chaired by Ambassador Antonio Garrigues y Díaz-Cabañate. currently, Juan Lladó.

Main goals

INCIPE is mainly dedicated to research and debate on problems related to Spanish foreign policy and contemporary international relations. The Foundation’s essential objective is to contribute to a better understanding of these matters by the Spanish public, always advocating for the defense of Spain’s national interests on a global level.
