On Friday, March 10, the first in-person meeting of the National Security Culture Forum was held at INCIPE's headquarters, with the participation of Spanish strategic and foreign policy analysis centers. The meeting was chaired by Miguel Ángel Ballesteros, Director of the National Security Department of the Presidency of the Government.

On November 25, the National Security Culture Forum was officially established, following its approval by the Council of Ministers and its publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE) as Order PCM/1051/2022. This Forum was created as a public-private collaboration body, with the primary objective of proposing initiatives to raise public awareness about the significance of National Security in our daily lives, as well as promoting joint and participatory activities within the framework of the National Security Culture Plan.

During the meeting, Miguel Ángel Ballesteros emphasized that «a National Security Plan cannot be built without the involvement of civil society, which must express its concerns.» Other key issues addressed included the importance of properly adapting such a crucial topic as National Security, the need to continue strengthening the connection between public administrations and strategic centers, and the growing role of new media as a dissemination channel.
